Broad Spectrum CBD and Full Spectrum CBD are two similar sounding categories that describe different types of CBD products.
Full Spectrum CBD – is a CBD product which contains additional cannabinoids (including THC), terpenes, and flavonoids.
Broad Spectrum CBD – is a CBD product which contains additional cannabinoids (with the exception of THC), terpenes, and flavonoids.
The difference between Broad Spectrum and Full Spectrum is that Broad Spectrum products specifically do not contain THC. They contain all the other components but ZERO THC.
Full Spectrum = THC (up to 0.3% in Hemp CBD)
Broad Spectrum = ZERO THC
The reason why Broad Spectrum products do not contain THC are for legal and drug testing purposes. Though THC has benefits, not all places allow for its use in any amount and it can show up on a drug test.
Broad Spectrum CBD products are designed for the user to be able to take advantage of the entourage effect without risking the use of THC.
